Think about this: without the miniaturization techniques originally developed for the Apollo program, you wouldn't have a desktop PC, laptops, 3-D game graphics, cell phones, cable TV, the Internet, CAT scans, MRIs, or any of a thousand other things we take for granted. Some of those things just make life easier, or more fun, or safer; some of them save lives daily.
Think of what you've
gained before you criticize a program dealing in a horrifically harsh environment
with machines built and maintained by humans who make the same kind of
human mistakes you do.
